INCLUSION 2.0

Policies, practices, and cultures of schools for everyone

ABOUT

We are a team specialized on developing inclusive education projects inside and outside schools. Our approach sees inclusion as a process of community action-research, where education is at the centre.

Our reference point is the New Index ofr Inclusion (CSIE, 2011), which we translated, edited, and spread throughout Italian schools.

We are also members of the Index for Inclusion Network (http://www.indexforinclusion.org/index.php), the international network ghatering over thirty countries around the world to implement the Index approach.

We are an open group. Everyone is invited to offer new ideas and contributions, as well as participating to inclusive education as a shared enterprise.

My research interests stem from a personal and professional experience in the territories of the former Yugoslavia. In particular, the study carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the link between school policies and construction of national identity of the younger generation has guided my research interests to the issue of differences in the school realities. The results of the PhD research, aimed at understanding how the school responds to the heterogeneity in practice, have addresses me towards an inclusive education in order to create a significant learning environment for all. Currently I am involved in research and training activities on these issues.

My researches focused on inclusion inside and outside schools. Partnership in RESCUE, an European project against early school leaving, analysis and supervision of several educational and didactic projects, made me aware of the importance of working with teachers during their everyday experiences.
